The number of applicants they accept is limited for each of the categories listed above and they also have a specific intake period and eligibility criteria. Age, Education, Financial stability and ties to the province (family members already living in Quebec, previous visits) are some factors that are used to assess applications.


Investor Program

This program is tailored for foreign investors that plan to invest in a business in Quebec. For this, a 5-year term investment agreement of not less than $1,200 and a net asset of not less than $2,000,000 plus two or more years of business management experience in the last 5 years. 


Entrepreneur Program

This Program has two sub-streams. The first is for foreign entrepreneurs that plan to start and run a business in Quebec. The Other is for foreign entrepreneurs who plan to buy and run a business in Quebec. This program requires a minimum start-up deposit of between $200,000 and $300,000 and a net worth of $900,000.


Self Employed Worker Program

This is a program for business people or professionals who want to migrate to Quebec and be self-employed. To qualify for this program, you will be required to deposit not less than $25,000 to $50,000 as start-up capital and also be required to have a net asset of at least $100,000 with at least 2 years experience in a relevant self-employed position.

2. Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP)

This program gives immigrants access to immigrate to Quebec Canada if they meet some criteria for selection like your work experience, your education, language skills in French and English, Age and number of dependents and additionally your ability to sustain your dependents and yourself financially.


Who is Eligible To Apply For The Quebec Skilled Worker Program?

There are two major ways to apply if you want to know your eligibility status for immigrating to Canada as a skilled worker.


The first is by Applying to the government of Quebec to obtain a Certificate of Selection (Certificat de selection du Quebec). This Certificate is confirmation that you have been accepted by Quebec as an immigrant, If you get chosen by Quebec, you can then proceed to apply to Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.

3. Quebec Experience Class (PEQ)


Foreign students, Skilled temporary workers who have an intermediate skill level in French can apply for permanent residence in Quebec using this program. 


If you plan to immigrate to Quebec under the PEQ, you can use the following categories.


Quebec Graduate - immigrants with a qualification from an eligible institution in Quebec and at least 12 to 18 months of work experience.


Skilled Temporary Worker - Immigrants with a skilled job in Quebec and have worked for not less than 24 months of the last 36 months.
